K2 Snowboards 2024

K2 Snowboards is one of the most well known brands who have a diverse lineup of snowboards, boots, and bindings every year.   They can always be counted on for quality and a wide selection.  Based out of the PNW in Washington state, they started out as a top Ski brand in the 1960's, then starting making snowboards in 1987.   They are one of the first to offer women's snowboards in 1999 known as Women's Alliance™.   We receive lots of K2 snow gear for snowboarding each new season for over a decade now.  They are often our customer's favorite products because of their dependability and solid designs, many of which are affordable as well.  We'll go over a few of our favorite products for this year including some recommendations.   

The K2 Standard is our best men's snowboard pick for beginner to intermediate riders.  It serves the needs of many new riders looking to learn and progress all over the mountain.  It's a directional twin made to be playful and easy to ride with an added bonus of their catch free rocker design.  The beveled sidecut makes it easier when learning to transition from one carve to the next by eliminating a lot of the edge from catching and pulling the rider off balance.   It's available in a lot of sizes ranging from 147-163cm.  You can't go wrong with the 2024 K2 Standard if your a guy looking to get into snowboarding and don't know which board to pick.

Our K2 women's snowboard pick is the Lime Light featuring a smaller size twin tip design with both camber and rocker.  It's rated for beginners to advanced so it's definitely an all-mountain board that any female will enjoy in the park, groom runs, jump runs, and steeper powder runs.  It comes in a wide range of sizes too 138-153cm.   The eco friendly wood core wrapped in fiberglass is specifically calibrated for lighter riders.   It eliminates chatter on ice and packed snow while also giving a fun easy feel with a lot of pop!  The base is made sturdy and strong for countless catch free rail slides. 

Our third K2 Snowboard pick is the Unisex Party Platter.  It's super fun to ride as it looks and the name implies!  Yes it has an unique shape that you may wonder about perhaps thinking it's only good for deep powder runs.  Apparently it's not and streamlined enough to ride in all conditions.  It's directional design along with a few other features excels at speed and hitting jumps.  And yes floating over deep snow as well with their Volume Shift™ design that reduces heel and toe drag.  Another stand out addition is inlayed between the bindings called the Carbon Ollie Bar™.  It's inserted there to increase rebound and snap when launching of hits as well as helping to absorb landings better.   This board also has a double the hardness sintered base for max durability in all conditions.  A bit more in price but worth it if you are looking to upgrade to something more capable and higher performance.   Ranges in lengths from 138-157cm and recommended to be sized down 3-5cm when selecting your size.

            K2 has also been making snowboard boots and bindings for several years too offering all kinds of designs from traditional lace up to single and double Boa systems.  They also have their unique Clicker™ connection system between the bindings and boots.  The womens' boots have some really fashionable designs and colors as well.
